MULTI LEVEL COURSE! Explore silks theory, artistry, and transitions while learning and exploring your own unique way through a short sequence of late beginner and intermediate skills. Drop-ins welcome, but we will spend 2-3 weeks developing and polishing each sequence. Instructor approval required- contact me if you haven't come before to make sure it’s a good fit!
Prerequisites:
* Comfortably invert from ground
* In-air inversion from a bent arm hang (tagging/tapping of poles allowed)
* Solid understanding of silks terminology
* Same and opposite side knee hooks
* Comfortable with 1 or more same side knee hook inversion climb
* Climb above knee hook to thigh hitch
* “Windmill” hip key (taught this way at SILKStudio)
* Catcher’s wrap
* Ability to comfortably climb both Russian and basic climb to the top of the silk
* Basic descent (with hands and hands-free)
* Ability to wrap single and double footlocks from the ground and in the air

A multi-level class for students who want to build and maintain a solid base for their practice. Develop the skills, strength, and technique needed to progress safely, beautifully, and confidently in your aerial silks practice. Elemental Silks focuses on foundational skill building, technique, theory, inversion strength, and conditioning.
Prerequisites: This class is geared towards students with prior silks experience who want to focus on fundamental skills and strength building. Students should be familiar with basic skills including:
-Footlocks (single and double)
-Basic Climb
-Basic Descent
-Russian Climb
-Ability to invert in the knot
Clothing: Please wear clothing that covers your legs and torso and remove all jewelry. Tight fitting clothing is recommended.
